Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS), joins with millions across the nation in recognition of 2018 Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31)

The Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the Nation and a way for people and communities to take a visible stand for healthy lifestyles. The campaign was created after DEA Agent Kiki Camarena was kidnapped and killed in Mexico in 1985. People began wearing red ribbons as a symbol of Kiki's sacrifice and to show their support for a drug-free living. With approximately 74,000 American lives lost last year to a drug overdose, your participation in Red Ribbon Week is more important than ever.
